General information

Valencian Regional Government Decree 174/2002 includes the option of awarding salary payments for teaching and research staff (both civil servant teachers and contracted staff) in public universities in the Valencian Region, depending on their budgets.

Each university’s Governing Board proposes the amount of additional salary payments staff members should receive. The payments are set by the Social Council and depend on AVAP’s positive assessment of individuals’ experience.

The amount of additional salary payments awarded depends on:

• Teaching and research experience.
• Research productivity.
• Teaching and research experience relating to academic promotion.
• Teaching and research mobility.
