General information

AVAP’s Assessment for Teaching Staff Recruitment Programme evaluates candidates’ teaching and research history, prior to the teacher being recruited by a university in the Valencian Region, in accordance with the Organic Law 4/2007, of 12th April, on Universities.
AVAP’s assessment centres on basic aspects and requirements which ensure that a candidate is suited to the position before he/she is employed.
This is a preliminary assessment; the universities themselves then carry out their own recruitment processes.

Prior assessment is a prerequisite for the positions of:

  • Assistant lecturers with a doctorate
  • Contracted lecturers with a doctorate
  • Lecturers in private universities
  • Collaborating lecturers

The application process, deadlines and documentation required for teaching staff assessment will be set each time a call for applications is made. Candidates wishing to be accredited in more than one of the categories must submit a separate application for each one.
