Scientific Advisory Board

This Committee is made up of top-flight scientists from the Valencian Region who are experts in different scientific fields and who have review experience both in Spain and abroad.

The Committee represents recognition for the scientific know-how of its members and also shows the need for their advice to ensure AVAP’s competences are used to the full.

It is a consultative committee in which members are not obliged to carry out any task that they are unable to perform due to lack of availability, interest or willingness.

FUNCTIONS

• To advise AVAP with regard to reviews.

• To take part in the Advisory Committees which are set up to deal with particular issues relating to AVAP’s assessment system or to other related issues.

• To put forward the names of Spanish and foreign referees who are experts in their particular field.

• To act as review coordinators for scientific projects.

• To put forward candidates for the Scientific Review Committee.

• To put forward initiatives to improve the review system.
